Penelope A. Preovolos

Claudia focuses her practice on the defense of consumer class actions and on complex commercial litigation, including unfair business competition, false advertising, product liability, and privacy matters. She is currently representing numerous consumer goods manufacturers and retailers in false advertising and mislabeling class action lawsuits. Claudia also regularly counsels clients in the food, cosmetics, retail, and technology industries. Trump Nominates Buerkle as Permanent CPSC Chair | Class Dismissed

On July 24, 2017, the White House announced President Trump’s intent to nominate Ann Marie Buerkle (R-NY) as the next Chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for a seven year term beginning October 27, 2018.  She currently serves as a Commissioner at CPSC and as Acting Chair.  <a href="https://media2.mofo.com/v3/assets/blt5775cc69c999c255/blt87ff5299fa271ad4/6273155f4d9f89297129014b/170725-law360-shift-in-cpsc-leadership.pdf">As we recently reported</a>, CPSC will likely see additional changes in leadership this year as President Trump continues to shift the Commission towards a Republican majority.
